Water-Based Artist
Originally from Charleston, SC, Jeanne McIntosh Rietzke holds a BA in Fine Arts from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. In her 30+ years as a professional artist, Jeanne has sold her paintings nationally and internationally. She has won dozens of awards, has been accepted into hundreds of juried shows, and has been featured in national and international publications. Jeanne’s works are easily recognizable by her creative use of watermarks, intense colors, and unique perspectives. Jeanne currently paints using a combination of water-based mediums.
Her first children’s books were published on February 24, 2022. Jeanne has written and illustrated a series entitled Caroline, The Painted Turtle. Both books have won multiple awards. Her award-winning novel, Inherited Death, was published in April 2025. Jeanne lives in Wilmington, NC, with her husband, Jacques.
