Fine Artist

Working in Advertising in Los Angeles for 35 years and raising two boys in a small beach town south of Los Angeles was a daily grind. Surfing the South Bay and riding motorcycles in the desert with my boys was my escape from the rat race.

Today I escape into nature and wide-open spaces through painting. I started Plein Air painting when we moved to Wilmington, NC. I paint with a diverse group of people whom I have met through the Wilmington Art Association. I enjoy the company of other painters as they have introduced me to places I would have never found on my own.

When I married Pia Grønning, a Danish actress and model in LA, she opened my eyes to the beauty of her native Denmark. We now spend our summers on the Lyngså Strand where I am inspired to paint as often as possible.

Everywhere I turn from the grassy dunes, the crystal clear water, the shoppers on the walking streets, and the wild animals I see on our daily hikes. They all call to me to capture the flavor of Danish life on canvas.
