Watercolorist

After graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Music with a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance, Lynn O’Connell has spent her life as a professional musician and actress – singing, playing piano, obsessing as a ukuholic (she’s the Director of the Port City Ukuholics), acting on stage and film, orchestral conducting, as a minister of music for places of worship and teaching music.

Upon retirement from teaching in 2019, she began her new creative journey to the beautiful, colorful flowing world of watercolor. As a student of well known Watercolorist, Janice Castiglione, she has become completely addicted to this unpredictive, challenging and always fun new passion. Now an award winning artist Lynn’s work depicts landscapes, flowers, people portraits, pet portraits, still life, sea life, animals and just about anything that allows her to let the colors flow together to create magical images in a new light.
