Multi-Media Artist
Missy Mohn Schwartz is a North Carolina based artist. She is currently creating a series of birds celebrating coastal living. A Bobcat snuck into the series inspired by an amazing photograph by Ray Soniera.
Her work is most often multi media, full of texture, bold colors and depth due to the many layers of paper and paint. Frequent themes are birds, flowers and animals expressed in a highly stylized fashion.
Missy is an Honors graduate of Rhode Island School of Design. She spent 25 years as an award winning toy designer. She returned to her fine art roots in 2000. Her work is in corporate and private collections.
